Rowan Day

Today is Rowan Day – an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the university and its members.  As part of this celebration, there are many exciting things going on in the College of Communication, several of which are highlighted below.  For the complete Rowan Day schedule, go to The Rowan Day webpage.

Student Research in Communication Studies – 10 – 11 a.m., Hawthorn Hall, Rm. 204 – Students who have accomplished excellent research in communication will discuss their work and the process of communication research.

Digital Showcase of Journalism – 1 – 2 p.m., Bozorth Hall. Rm. 134  – The world of journalism is changing rapidly.  In this presentation, journalism faculty will discuss those changes and how the program is adapting to them.

Avant Open Reading1:30 – 3 p.m., Bozorth Hall Auditorium – Rowan’s literary magazine, Avant, sponsors an open-mic reading of creative works by students.

Creative Writing Invitational Reading3 – 5 p.m., Bozorth Hall Auditorium – Students who have achieved excellence in the creative writing program will present their works by invitation of the department of Writing Arts.

ArtBash! – 5 – 8:30 p.m. Science Hall, Planetarium – This cooperative effort from a variety of Rowan departments will included presentations of film, animation, music, dance, theatre, spoken word, fine art and more. It concludes in a flim festival and special performances at 6:30.
